Warren County Farmers’ Fair and Hot Air Balloon Festival

Walter Kidde Dinosaur Park Field Trip

August 14, 2019: Hike 1.5 miles total miles total to explore this National Historic Landmark that is home to three-toed Grallator dinosaur tracks from the late Triassic age. Using clay, we'll make and take an impression of an existing track & leave the site undisturbed for future paleontological study. Advance registration required. 410/child; $12/adult. Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center

Daily: Situated on 44 acres on the eastern end of the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, the Center serves as an important crossroad between nature & civilization. You can walk along 2 miles of flat trails & boardwalk, from sunrise to sunset throughout the year & enjoy the spectacular views of swamp, marsh, meadow, pond, forest habitats & wildlife. 247 Southern Blvd, Chatham Township. Morristown National Historical Park

Year round: Experience the Washington HQ Museum, Jockey Hollow VC, the Wick House & Penn Line huts. The Park commemorates the sites of General Washington & the Continental army’s winter encampment of December 1779 to June 1780, where they survived through what would be the coldest winter on record. Rosedale Cemetery Tour

April 28, 2019: Founded over 175 years ago, Rosedale Cemetery marked the beginning of a new movement in how America took care of its deceased. We’ll venture into new sections for this guided tour, discussing grave imagery as well as the people who are buried there. Admission is $10/person, registration required.
